Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s lncisive Advice Template has a ‘Design Award’ in the ‘Business Service’ category at the prestigious Australian International Design Awards 2012.

The Australian International Design Awards is one of the longest standing and most prestigious design awards in the world. The awards for 2012 were held in Sydney last Friday night and recognised the best in Australian design excellence and innovation.

The Corrs Incisive Advice Template was developed in response to our clients' desire for clear legal advice that helps them make good business decisions.

The Advice Template incorporates best practice document design principles which make it easy to read and is driven by what clients want: clear, incisive advice that the client can easily act upon. The innovative design features a front page summary that gives the answer and recommendation upfront and a "traffic light" risk analysis table that identifies and assesses legal risks.

Corrs partner Andrew Lumsden, National KM/Precedents Manager Sally Bruce and Professional Excellence Development Manager Adeline Cheok, led the development team and accepted the award at the event held at Sydney’s City Recital Hall in Angel Place.

Corrs partner Andrew Lumsden said, “The process involved a complete rethinking of how we provide written advice to our clients. We wanted make sure our advices were clear and incisive. By daring to do things differently and pushing the boundaries of the conventional approach we created an innovative and most importantly, client focused product. The result is a truly world class advice template. Our client feedback is overwhelming that what we have achieved is the best advice delivery model they have ever seen.”

Corrs partner and CEO John W.H. Denton said, “This is an outstanding achievement and great recognition of Corrs’ innovation and commitment to quality.”

The overall winner at the Awards was the Australian designed deepsea submersible, made famous by the pioneering voyage of James Cameron to the depths of the Ocean.
