Last month, leading women from business, government and the community converged on Corrs’ Melbourne office to hear the Honourable Nicola Roxon, former Attorney-General and federal Minister for Health and Ageing, tell ‘Her Story’.
Speaking about her life in and outside of politics, Nicola urged the audience to make strategic decisions in both their personal and professional lives. Nicola also provided encouragement to guests to overcome the ‘confidence gap’.
More than 150 guests attended the cocktail event representing a wide range of industries from banking and finance, to natural resources, local government, and property. The guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on arrival, the opportunity to engage with Nicola during ‘question time’ at the end of her talk, followed by further refreshments and networking.
The ‘Her Story’ events are an initiative of the Corrs Women in Business group to provide an opportunity for women from both within and outside of the law to build relationships and hear from some of Australia’s most inspirational women.
