In its fifth new partner announcement this year, Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed Jillian Button as partner in the Environment and Planning Group (E&P Group).
Joining Corrs from Minter Ellison, Jillian will be based in the Melbourne office and add further depth to Corrs’ national E&P Group which has built a strong reputation in planning and environment, particularly in relation to major projects.
Jillian has particular strength in environmental law, but is also a multidisciplinary advisor who assists clients to manage the full range of environmental and planning issues.
She has significant experience advising clients on planning, environment, resources, regulatory and public land matters, as well as on climate change, agribusiness, waste management, infrastructure projects and urban development.
Corrs partner and CEO John W.H. Denton AO was pleased to welcome Jillian to the firm; “Jillian Button will expand the depth and reach of Corrs’ environment and planning group’s experience and expertise. With infrastructure projects around the country booming and the complexity of approvals and allocations increasing, we are committing to greater investment in the depth of talent for our clients."
Jillian will be a key member of Corrs’ E&P team and will enhance their already excellent reputation for managing government and major corporations' planning and environmental approvals for infrastructure projects.
