Premium independent law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth has strengthened its Competition & Regulatory practice with the lateral appointment of two new outstanding Senior Associates.
The appointments of Alistair Newton in Melbourne and Jackie Mortensen in Sydney will add extra depth to the leading Corrs Competition Practice.

Alistair brings extensive experience in significant mergers from Slaughter and May in London and also Allens.
Jackie specialises in advising on competition/cartel issues as well as consumer law and telecommunications and media regulatory issues, and joins Corrs from Minter Ellison.
The appointment of Alistair and Jackie are in addition to Corrs’ recently announced 30 new internal Senior Associate promotions.
The Corrs Competition & Regulatory practice handles all areas of competition law. The firm has particular strength in competition law litigation, access matters and has significant depth of experience as advisers on merger clearance and cartels/immunity matters.
Corrs has built on the number of experienced lawyers in the Competition & Regulatory team – including the addition of new Practice Head & Partner, Ayman Guirguis in April 2012.
