Corrs, Prince William and WildAid say no to Rhino-horn

19 February 2014

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, is the newest ambassador for WildAid, an international environmental conservation organisation that aims to end the illegal wildlife trade.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth is currently assisting WildAid to open its Australian chapter.

WildAid targets the demand for illegal trade in wildlife products such as ivory, rhinoceros-horn and shark fin with a simple message: “when the buying stops, the killing can too”.

WildAid’s newest ambassador, the Duke of Cambridge, recently worked with fellow ambassadors David Beckham and NBA star Yao Ming to produce two videos that will shortly be broadcast in China and Vietnam. The videos can be found here.

WildAid’s success is measurable. It’s 2013 shark fin campaign led to a 50% drop in shark fin consumption and a resulting increase in shark populations, click here for more.
