David said he was sincerely honoured to be the recipient of the 2011 Tom Yuncken Award. ”While I am honoured to receive the award I recognise that the practice of the law, and particularly construction law, is a team game and I count myself as extremely fortunate to have been involved in a number of high performing teams throughout my career.
“This award is a result of the inspiration and knowledge I have gained through being part of those teams.” David also acknowledged the support he had received from his family, the ‘home team’, which was an essential factor in his success to date.
Corrs construction partner Ben Davidson congratulated David on winning such an esteemed award. “We are thrilled to see David recognised for his diligence in the practice of construction law, in writing and publication of numerous construction and related articles, undertaking his Masters in Construction Law and general involvement in the industry.”
The biennial award is named in the memory of the late Tom Yuncken, who was an outstanding construction lawyer and a partner of a prominent national law firm, tragically killed following a bicycle accident in 2006.
