Corrs Chambers Westgarth has added further depth to its premium private equity practice with the promotion of private equity transaction specialist James Delesclefs to partner.

A first-class practitioner with more than 10 years’ international and national private equity experience, James’ promotion adds further strength to the Corrs private equity team. He will be based in Sydney.

James’ wealth of international industry expertise includes previous roles at Macfarlanes LLP and as a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. He has been intimately involved in many of the largest transactions in London, New York, Paris and Sydney and developed a strong professional network around the globe.

Since joining Corrs in November 2010, James has acted on a number of high profile transactions in the Australian private equity market including Archer Capital’s acquisition of its interest in V8 Supercars, Bain Capital’s acquisition of MYOB, Apax Partners’ acquisition of the Paradigm group and CVC’s restructuring of the Nine Entertainment group.
