Corrs Chambers Westgarth will welcome Australia’s most savvy women entrepreneurs as part of an intensive boot camp and three-month coaching program that could see them raise capital to grow their businesses into multi-million dollar ventures.
On Tuesday 4 February, Corrs will host a special event at its new Chifley Square offices in Sydney for the participants and coaches of Springboard’s Australia: 2014 Accelerator Program – designed specifically to help women-led emerging growth companies seek equity investment and strategic partnerships.
Celebrating Springboard’s 2nd annual Australian program, Corrs National Chair Teresa Handicott will officially welcome the eight women who head up emerging Australian high-growth companies in the life sciences, media-technology and sciences and engineering industries.
Attending the event will be Kay Koplovitz, Founder of USA Network and Chairman and CEO of Koplovitz & Co, and Wendy Simpson OAM, Chairperson of Springboard Enterprises Australia and Wengeo Group, Kelly O’Dwyer MP Chairman of the House of Standing Committee for Economics, the Springboard Class of 2014, their coaches and a number of Corrs representatives.

Since Springboard Enterprises USA began in January 2000, more than 500 women-led companies have completed the program and over 4,000 companies have applied.
Corrs was involved in the selection of and will be coaching the eight women participating in the Australian program through its strategic partnership with global non-profit, venture-catalyst Springboard Enterprises.
In total, Springboard has helped 537 women-led companies raise US$6.2 billion in equity financing, including 10 IPOs on NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Exchange, and 130 high-value mergers and acquisitions.
Springboard educates, sources, coaches, showcases and supports high growth companies seeking equity capital for expansion.
Through a series of programs and initiatives, Springboard provides access to emerging-growth businesses led by women seeking financial and corporate partners, trusted advisors and business development opportunities.
Springboard also provides a platform for media visibility as well as access to active investors and sector experts.
