The Sydney Lawyers Orchestra (SLO) will bring together talented musicians from the legal community for an inaugural concert next week.
SLO’s director and conductor, Corrs partner Thomas Jones said, “The concert will be a great opportunity to enjoy some wonderful music by Mozart, Warlock, Tchaikovsky and Strauss, as well as bring together members of both the business and legal community.”
“The SLO was established to bring together like-minded musicians to celebrate collaboration through creative pursuits and provides fellowship for the Sydney legal community in a warm and inclusive setting.”
The Orchestra is made up of about 30 lawyers who are also classically-trained musicians and share an enthusiasm for music.
SLO is open to all lawyers and is represented by members of Sydney's legal community including from the Bar, the Courts, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Allens, Clayton Utz, Norton Rose Fulbright, Gilbert + Tobin, King & Wood Mallesons, and the social justice sector.
Supported by Corrs Chambers Westgarth, the Sydney Lawyers Orchestra’s inaugural concert will be held on Wednesday 17 December at the Pitt Street Uniting Church, 264 Pitt Street, Sydney from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Free. All welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
