Anna is an inquiry and public law specialist with deep expertise in complex and sensitive policy areas and compliance. She specialises in working with private and public sector clients operating in high profile sectors that receive considerable public interest and attention.

Anna's practice involves helping clients involved in inquiries, prosecutions, Royal Commissions, FOI, class actions and investigations by regulators. She has extensive experience in dealing with international human rights complaints made against Australian entities, including governments.

Anna also regularly works with clients facing a broad range of commercial disputes and risks including in relation to contractual compliance, real property and consumer claims regarding medical technology. Anna is Chair of Domestic Violence NSW (SM).

Representation in Financial Services Royal Commission

Leading the Corrs team representing a participant in the Financial Services Royal Commission, supervising a large team of counsel and solicitors in an extremely fast-moving 'high stakes' environment

Immigration detention class actions

Leading the Corrs teams in successfully defending two separate class actions for Serco Australia and Broadspectrum Limited, respectively. The actions concerned the companies' operation of the Christmas Island and Manus Island facilities, both of which were extremely significant claims for our clients. Successfully navigating both clients through highly complex, politically sensitive litigation involving novel issues of law.

Broadspectrum Constitutional challenges

Acting for Broadspectrum Australia in defending multiple recent challenges before the High Court. These concerned the validity of the legislative regime underpinning the Commonwealth’s involvement in the regional processing centres in Nauru and Manus Island (PNG), and related challenges to the validity of the contracts entered into between Broadspectrum and the Commonwealth.
