Acted in relation to the potential purchase of a wealth management and distribution business valued at more than A$900 million and a potential ASX equity capital raising to fund the acquisition.

Acted in relation to the sale of AMP’s Australian and New Zealand wealth protection and mature businesses (AMP Life) and reinsure New Zealand retail wealth protection for total proceeds of A$3.45 billion.

Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds

Acted for a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund in relation to the acquisition of a substantial interest and follow on fundraising and option arrangements in the Parklands Ownership Trust, being the entity holding the rights to the financing, development and assets in the A$2.5 billion 2018 Commonwealth Games Village at Parklands in the Gold Coast.

Acted for a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund in relation to its substantial investments into various private equity funds.

Acted for a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund in relation to the restructure of various Australian listed and unlisted managed investment schemes valued at over A$650 million.

Acted for one of the largest superannuation funds in Australia in relation to its purchase from Macquarie of a substantial interest in the consortium vehicle which owns the South Australian land titles and registry function valued at A$2.6 billion.

Bathurst Resources Limited

Acted in relation to the purchase of interests in three mines from Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd and multiple bond, convertible note and equity capital raisings to fund the asset acquisitions.

Consortium vehicle

Acted for the consortium vehicle which acquired the civil and mining business of Watpac Limited and advised on the simultaneous equity and debt capital raising to fund the acquisition.

Fuji Xerox

Advised Fuji Xerox, the Japan-based company headquartered in Tokyo, one of the largest integrated document and print management providers in the Asia-Pacific region, and a market leader in Australian and New Zealand, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in CSG Limited, the ASX listed provider of print and business technology solutions in Australia and New Zealand, supported by an in-house equipment financing business, via a scheme of arrangement.
