A specialist in regulatory matters, Marie has extensive experience advising public and private sector clients on regulatory investigations and proceedings. Her expertise spans workplace health and safety, white collar crime and coronial matters.
Marie supports clients with a range of matters including critical incident response, investigations, prosecutions, coronial inquests, legislative compliance, contractual matters and delivering training to senior executives, boards and operational teams. She also advises on public and private inquiries, including Royal Commissions, Boards of Inquiry and Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission investigations.
Before joining Corrs in 2014, Marie practised as a senior criminal defence lawyer and also worked as a criminal lawyer at the Supreme Court of Victoria in its appellate jurisdiction. Her background in criminal law is invaluable to her current practice as many regulatory matters, including workplace health and safety matters, are dealt with in the criminal law jurisdiction.
An Accredited Mental Health First Aider, Marie holds memberships with the Australian Institute of Health & Safety, the National Safety Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria. Since 2017, she has consistently been recognised in her field by Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
