Marie Costa

A specialist in workplace health and safety, Marie has over a decade of experience practising in criminal and workplace health and safety law. Her unique skills are invaluable under the current workplace health and safety statutory regime, which is a criminal regime.

Marie assists public and private sector clients nationally with workplace health and safety matters including incident response, investigations, prosecutions, coronial inquests, compliance advice and training. She also assists clients with public inquiries, such as Royal Commissions.

Prior to joining Corrs in 2014, Marie was a senior associate at a prominent Victorian criminal law firm, during which time she also obtained her Master of Laws from Monash University. Marie has also worked as a criminal lawyer at the Supreme Court of Victoria in its appellate jurisdiction.

Marie is a member of the Australian Institute of Health & Safety, the National Safety Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria. She is also a member of the Cultural Diversity Steering Committee at Corrs.
