Tegan is a senior disputes and investigations practitioner who advises public and private corporations, as well as individual directors and officers, across the full spectrum of commercial litigation, internal and regulatory investigations, regulatory enforcement and public inquiries.

She has particular experience resolving commercial disputes, advising on governance issues and acting for clients in relation to regulatory investigations under the Corporations Act and the Australian Consumer Law. Her work includes matters involving directors’ duties, corporate disclosure obligations, shareholder oppression and misleading or deceptive conduct.

Tegan also brings deep expertise in complex contractual construction and statutory interpretation. She is recognised for her strategic, commercially focused approach to dispute resolution and her ability to anticipate challenges and outcomes, developed through more than a decade of practice at Corrs.

Her experience spans a broad range of industries, including energy and resources, financial and advisory services, infrastructure, agriculture and utilities. Drawing on this cross-sector expertise, Tegan helps clients navigate legal and regulatory risks while developing strategies that balance commercial objectives with reputational considerations.

Perth Casino Royal Commission

Acted as a solicitor assisting the Perth Casino Royal Commission in its investigation of Crown Resorts’ suitability to remain the licensed operator of Perth Casino, as well as the regulatory framework governing casino gaming in Western Australia.

Australian Wheat Board Ltd, Trevor Flugge

Acted for the former chairman of the AWB in proceedings brought by ASIC in the Supreme Court of Victoria alleging breaches of directors’ duties, following the Cole Royal Commission’s investigation into conduct under the UN Oil-for-Food Programme.

Argonaut Limited and Argonaut Partners

Acted for a shareholder of an ASX-listed company in successfully obtaining orders to cancel approximately A$15 million in shares and options that had been improperly issued to individuals and entities associated with the company’s directors on the grounds of shareholder oppression.

INPEX

Acting for INPEX in Federal Court of Australia proceedings (Western Australian District) against a sub-contractor in a A$4 billion claim for misleading or deceptive conduct. 

Australian Securities and Investments Commission

Acted for ASIC in its investigation and proceedings against finfluencer Tyson Scholz for operating a financial services business without an Australian financial services licence.

Oil and Gas Company

Acting for an oil and gas company and its parent company in Federal Court of Australia proceedings (Victorian District) between joint venture entities concerning their obligations under a gas processing agreement, including the payment and reimbursement of petroleum resource rent tax, associated indirect taxes and contractual interest.

Australian Competition and Consumer Commission

Acted for the ACCC in relation to multiple consumer and competition investigations and proceedings relating to contraventions of the CCA and ACL.
