Advising the developer on all aspects of the of the CopperString Project 2.0. The project involves the proposed development of a privately owned, project financed 1100 kilometre electricity transmission network from Townsville to Mt Isa.

Transgrid – Humelink Project

Advising Transgrid on all aspects of the Humelink Project. This includes complex regulatory and regulated funding advice, delivery and structuring advice, a unique ‘market sounding’ process for delivery partners, complex contracting strategies and structures, strategic access and compensation advice, and strategic advice regarding interfacing with the Commonwealth, state and local governments.

Powerlink

Advised Powerlink on numerous matters including issues arising under the National Electricity Rules, the negotiation of connection and access agreements, network support agreements and service level agreements, and various industrial relations issues.

Transgrid

We are trusted advisors to Transgrid in relation to connection and regulatory issues for a number of their projects, including the agreements for the construction of and long term access arrangements for the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project, both load and generation.

Victorian Big Battery Project

Advising the OEM, in its capacity as EPC and O&M Contractor, on the Victorian Big Battery project, as part of AEMO’s System Integration Protection Scheme project, which will be one of the largest battery energy storage projects in the world.

Advising Powin on its entry into the Australian market and the Battery Energy Storage System Supply Agreements and Long Term Services Agreements for a number of projects, including Waratah Battery Storage Project.

Lumea

Advising on the development of a new grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (for up to 300 MW) to be located in Victoria. In a first for Australia, the project is intended to be fully funded by private sector market participants without using government funding to demonstrate that batteries can be commercially developed on an independent unsubsidised basis and thereby accelerating Australia’s clean energy transition.

St Baker Energy Holdings Pty Ltd

Advising St Baker Energy Holdings Pty Ltd as trustee for the St Baker Energy Innovation Trust (St Baker) in its investment in AMSL Innovations. AMSL Aero is a flying vehicle start-up that has designed an electric Vertical Take Off and Landing air taxi, ‘Vertiia’, which is battery-powered and also equipped to use hydrogen as a fuel source.
