Domenico acts for Australian and international corporations in complex, high-stakes commercial disputes before domestic courts and international tribunals, with particular expertise in international commercial and investment-treaty arbitration.
He represents clients in a broad range of disputes, including post-M&A disputes, financial services disputes, energy and resources projects disputes, cross-border trade matters and intellectual property cases. Notably, Domenico has appeared as advocate in numerous international arbitrations and has experience in cross-examining both lay and expert witnesses. He has conducted arbitrations under all major institutional rules, including at ICSID, the PCA, ICC, SCC, ACICA, SIAC, HKIAC and LCIA.
Domenico has been listed as a Leading Associate in International Arbitration by the Legal 500 since 2021.
He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Sydney in International Commercial Arbitration. Domenico previously served as Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague and was a member of the ACICA45 Steering Committee.
Acting for Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc in proceedings before the Supreme Court of New South Wales concerning a material adverse change in relation to a proposed A$650 million scheme of arrangement to acquire Mayne Pharma Group Limited.
Acting for NAB in proceedings before the Federal Court of Australia brought by the Finance Sector Union of Australia concerning alleged contraventions of s 62 of the Fair Work Act.
Acted for both investors and States in multiple investor-State arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, ICC and SCC Rules.
