James Butterworth

James is a tax law specialist with extensive experience advising on income tax issues across international transactions, debt financing and trust structures. His work spans both tax and tax controversy issues, supporting clients through the full lifecycle from initial structuring to dispute resolution. 

He is a trusted adviser to public and private multinational corporations across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, mining, real estate, finance, consumer cyclicals and technology.

James holds a Master of Laws degree (cum laude) in European Union law from Utrecht University.
