Oliver is a senior disputes lawyer with extensive experience in significant, high-value international and domestic commercial arbitrations conducted under the major arbitral institutional rules.

He has advised clients across various industries, including oil and gas, telecommunications, construction, aerospace, manufacturing and private equity, in connection with disputes in Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the UK and the US.

Prior to his return to Australia, Oliver practised at Freshfields and Three Crowns in London, specialising in international commercial arbitration. He is admitted as a solicitor-advocate in England and Wales and has been recognised as a recommended lawyer for international arbitration in The Legal 500 UK guide.

Oliver has also taught on courses in international dispute resolution, investment treaty arbitration and energy, and public international law, at Sciences Po in Paris, King’s College University of London and Queen Mary University of London Centre for Commercial Law Studies.
