Regarded as one of Australia’s leading M&A and private capital lawyers, Tim is a trusted advisor to listed companies and private capital managers, including Australian and international private equity and infrastructure funds, sovereign funds, multi-platform alternative asset managers and superannuation funds.
He has advised on some of the country’s largest and most complex transactions with his practice spanning public and private M&A, capital raisings, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and regulatory investigations, including cross-border transactions involving private equity sponsors and listed entities. He also advises on regulatory and corporate governance matters and has worked across a range of industries on strategic corporate activity.
Tim has consistently been listed as a leading lawyer by legal directories and publications including Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers.
Tim is a member of the Law Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is the Vice Chair of the Securities Law and Capital Markets Committee of the International Bar Association. Advised on significant energy and infrastructure transactions including advising Infigen Energy on its take-private by Iberdrola, TCorp (the State of NSW’s sovereign fund) on its investment in Melbourne Airports, Alinta on its restructure by a TPG-led consortium and confidential bidders for AirTrunk, Australia’s largest M&A transaction in 2025.
