Tom advises clients on competition law matters across a wide range of industry sectors.
He regularly represents clients before the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in merger clearance applications and market inquiries. Tom also has extensive experience defending allegations of cartel conduct and advising on competition law compliance, including matters related to commercial agreements and misuse of market power.
Tom’s industry experience spans financial services, digital markets, mineral resources, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, real estate, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Prior to joining Corrs, Tom was Special Counsel at a leading US law firm in London and Brussels. Notably, his team was recognised with the Global Competition Review 2016 award for “European Behavioural Matter of the Year” for the successful defence of Deutsche Bank in the European Commission’s investigation into credit default swaps.
