Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has celebrated the listing of Tritium DCFC Limited (Tritium) at its official bell ringing ceremony at the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in New York.
Tritium commenced trading on the Nasdaq on Friday 14 January 2022 under the ticker ‘DCFC’, following the successful completion of a business combination between Tritium Holdings Pty Ltd and Decarbonization Plus Acquisition Corporation II (DCRN), a US special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). This represents the first successful merger between an Australian company and a US SPAC.
As a global leader in direct current fast chargers for electric vehicles, this merger and listing is expected to support Tritium’s business operations and growth trajectory.
Corrs drew on expertise across the firm with partners Alexandra Feros, Jeremy Horwood and Shabarika Ajitkumar (Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets), Clare Corke (Finance) and Helen Clarke (Technology and IP) advising Tritium on all Australian aspects of the transaction, and working in a coordinated manner with Latham & Watkins LLP as the US legal advisers to Tritium.
Commenting on the matter, lead partner Alexandra Feros said: “Congratulations to Tritium on the successful closing of its merger and listing on the Nasdaq. As the first of its kind for any Australian company, I’m honoured to mark this exciting and truly significant achievement with Tritium at its official bell ringing ceremony in New York.
“Leveraging expertise from across Corrs has been integral to the success of this complex transaction. We look forward to seeing the future success of Tritium as a Nasdaq-listed entity.”
