Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has advised the Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland Government) on the procurement of stage 3 of the Gold Coast Light Rail (GCLR) project which reached financial close on 30 March 2022.
Corrs has advised the Queensland Government on the procurement of Stage 3 of the GCLR project. Stage 3 is a 6.7 km extension of the existing passenger light rail system, linking Helensvale to Burleigh Heads, set to be operational in 2025. The project reflects a total investment of A$1.2 billion.
Stage 3 has been led by partner Melanie Bond and consultant Peter Schenk, supported by special counsel John Broadhead, senior associate Twina Au Yeung and experts across the firm including partners Daryl Clifford, Airlie Fox, Paul Brickley, Felicity Saxon, Anna White and Nick Le Mare.
