Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has advised AGP backed Ampyr Distributed Energy (ADE) on a strategic investment by Stonepeak.
ADE is a leading investor, owner and operator of distributed energy assets across the UK and Europe which launched in 2024 with the backing of AGP, a global infrastructure developer and asset management group. ADE funds, builds, owns and operates onsite renewable energy infrastructure for commercial and industrial customers. With a pipeline of over 1GW, ADE has contracted 250MW of renewable energy projects to date across 200 sites. With Stonepeak’s support, ADE will have additional capacity and expertise to launch new projects and accelerate development across its markets.
The transaction was led by corporate partner Glen Sauer, supported by special counsel Sara McDiamond and experts from across the firm’s corporate practice.
Commenting on the matter, Glen Sauer said: “We are pleased to advise ADE and AGP on this significant transaction that provides significant growth capital to support the continued expansion of ADE’s distributed energy platform across the UK and Europe. Distributed energy is continuing to draw large infrastructure investors as customers seek secure, cheaper supply.
“The transaction demonstrates Corrs’ capability in advising on complex cross-border private capital and energy infrastructure transactions.”
