John Holland JV - West Gate Tunnel Project

Advised the joint venture (CPB and John Holland) on a range of contentious contamination and environmental and planning approvals issues associated with the delivery of the A$6.7 billion project, particularly issues associated with the unanticipated discovery of large volumes of PFAS contamination.

TransGrid

Advising on land access and compulsory acquisition issues on Transgrid’s A$200 million Powering Sydney’s Future project, including complex advice on the Electricity Supply Act and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act.

Santos

Advising Santos in connection with its A$3.5 billion coal seam gas project at Narrabri, NSW. The Narrabri project involves the development of up to 850 gas wells in coal seams located on mostly State-owned land in the nearby Pilliga forest in north-western NSW. Santos has already invested more than A$1 billion on the project to date.

Advised ESR on the global offering and IPO of ESR Group on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange which raised US$1.6 billion representing the third-largest listing in Hong Kong in 2019. The raising implies a market capitalisation for ESR of US$6.7 billion.
